Rare Bites Lunchtime Series: Soviet Political Posters - The Art of Making a Statement In-Person
You are invited to join our next Rare Bites talk, presented by Michael Brewster entitled Soviet Political Posters - The Art of Making a Statement.
Delivering the Communist Party' slogans to the masses and calling on workers and peasants to fight for freedom and justice, this talk focuses on how effectively posters have historically been used as tools of mobilisation, instruction, censure, debate, and manipulation of public thought and opinion.
Come along to have a closer look at Sovetskiĭ politicheskiĭ plakat 1917-1967, fifty-two Soviet posters originally published from 1917 to 1967 and donated by John and Vanessa Mack.
If you require assistance registering for this event, please get in touch with our Library Administration team.
