First Tuesday Craft Group - Crochet workshop

First Tuesday Craft Group - Crochet workshop In-Person

One of our favourite crafters Bronwen will be teaching crochet at this meeting

Bronwen loves crochet like a cat loves tuna.

She crochets with anything that holds still for long enough and teaches it to anything that doesn’t.

Bronwen has taught crochet classes for Morris and Sons, Sew Make Create and privately since 2010.

In this one hour class you will learn:

  1. How to start a crochet project

  2. The 4 fundamental stitches that comprise most crochet patterns

  3. How to read a crochet pattern in written and graphical notation

  4. How to make a Granny Square

You will need:

  1. A crochet hook, preferably between 4mm to 6mm

  2. 8ply yarn in a light colour preferably non-fuzzy wool or acrylic

The first Tuesday Craft Group is a place for staff, students and community members to meet and share our common love of all things craft, be it knitting, crochet, embroidery, sewing, origami, scrapbooking and anything else that’s creative.
The new venue, ThinkSpace, has an amazing array of tech tools that could be utilised in a myriad of ways – 3D print on lace, carve or print a button, watch/make instructional videos.
Meeting the first Tuesday of every month, from 1-2pm.
